This is one of my favourtie recipes, i learnt this from my aunt who did it a great job in presenting this lil piece of yumm along with paratas for dinner one day.. from then on .. Boondi Raita has been one of my fav side dishes .. also i gota chance to eat the most authentic Amritsari Boondi Raita at a restaurant in Haridwar…then there was no turning back..i had to try it at home.. i don like onion raita much and this comes as a great substitute with a crunch and ting added to it…so here it is..a very simple Boondi Raita recipe…

Boondi Raita Recipe

Ingredients

Curd (plain yoghurt) – 2 cups
Milk – 1/2 cup
Boondi – 1 cup
Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
Jeera powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method
In a bowl, add half a cup of boondi and mix in the curd well with it.
Add milk slowly into this and stir well.
Let the boondi get all soggy, add salt and pepper.
Add the other powders and mix well.
Refridgerate for around half an hour.
Mix another 1/2 cup boondi to give a crunch.
Garnish finely chopped coriander leaves and some fresh and crispy boondi just before serving.

If u like it plain and simple, do the raita with no spice powders or even without salt (since boondi has its own salt), and its still yummy!
