This one is from my Dad’s kitchen! This easy-to-make recipe can be made within minutes and kids will love it after school…and yes its healthy too… brings bak nostalgic memories of my childhood days 🙂

Green Peas Fry Recipe

Ingredients
Green Peas – 1 1/2 cups
Tomato – 1 or 2
Red chilli powder and Salt to taste
Curry leaves – few (optional)
Oil to fry









Method
Semi-boil the peas in a pressure cooker/electri cooker/pan.
Heat some oil in a kadai, add salt and red chilli powder. Fry the curry leaves if you want to.
Add the boiled peas and fry on a medium flame. Keep stirring slowly, turnin side once in a while.
Once its fried well on all sides, turn off the flame.
Cut tomato into big pieces and add them to it to obsorb any extra salt in the peas and give it a tangy essence too. Of course it adds to the color!

You need some patience if you want the peas to fry well without getting burnt!

  1. Yumm..I don't know if kids love it after school but this would make an awesome side dish when sarakku adichufying 😛

    And why those cherries in the header,how about something desi and spicy.
