Alrighty had too much of south indian traditional food already.. time for a break and have something not so indian.. and the simplest thing i can make at home is Pasta! Personally not a big fan of Pasta tho its a welcome break from the maggi noodles 😀 but i do know ppl who die for Pastas and so here’s presenting easy recipes to make simple home-made Pastas… I have used Macaroni for the Tomato Pasta and Fusilli for the White Sauce.

Pasta with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
Pasta – Variety of your choice (boiled along with salt)
Tomatoes – 3 medium sized
Tomato Ketchup – 2 tsbp
Onion – one small sized
Green Pepper (Capsicum) – optional
Garlic – 2 to 3 cloves
Chilli Flakes – 1/2 tsp
Oregano – to sprinkle
Basil Leaves – to sprinkle
Olive Oil – 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Method
In a pan, saute the onions and garlic in oil (add capsicum if using)
Puree the tomato along with half of this mixture, chilli flakes and salt.
Add to the pan along with the ketchup, mix well.
Now add the required amount of the cooked Pasta to the mixture, mix well.
Garnish with finely cut basil leaves and oregano.

Pasta with White Sauce Recipe

Ingedients
Pasta – Variety of your choice (boiled along with salt)
Butter – 5 to 6 tbsp
Garlic – 2 to 3 cloves
Milk – 1 cup
Fresh Cream – 1/2 cup
Maida (All purpose flour) – 4 tbsp cup
Cheese – 4 tbsp
Freshly Ground Pepper – 1 tsp (if possible use white pepper powder)
Parsley to garnish
Salt to taste

Method
In a pan, add butter to melt and saute the garlic.
Now add the milk and slowly bring in the maida.
Keep stirring continously to avoi dforming lumps.
Add fresh cream and cheese and bring to a boil, lower the flame.
Mix in the salt and pepper, stir until it forms a creamy consistency.
Add the cooked Pasta, mix well and serve with shredded cheese and parsley!

While boiling Pasta, you may add a drop of Olive oil to the water, to avoid stickiness. Also, once you dran the boiling water, run it through cold water once. Add your favourite vegggies to any of this dishes to add more fun!
