Another one from Brat’s kitchen.. yea hes makin a lota new stuff nowadays and surprising me totally! Hes of course a potato expert no matter wat and i always let him deal with potatoes wen guest come in.. his cookin usually has a lil bit of my style tho he will never agree on that!..but this potato fritters surprised me totally since i ve no idea how to do it or even had it before and didnt participate in the cooking process at all…i guess its a product of his vigorous food network watching and multi-ethnic friends in the US.. watever it is, it tasted really yummy and thats all that matter to us rite? Lets take a look at the Potato Fritters recipe from Brat’s kitchen!
Potato Fritters Recipe
Potatoes – 4 to 5 – thinly sliced (about 2 cm in length)
Corn flour – 1/4 cup
Gram flour – 1/4 cup
Rice flour – 4 to 5 tbsp
Eggs – 2 to 3
Chilli powder – 3 to 4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
Slightly boil/microwave the potatoes
Make a batter out of the flours adding eggs and a little water.
Add chilli powder and salt, mix well.
Heat oil for deep frying.
Take a half a handful of the sliced potato and dip it in the batter and deep fry it.
Turn them around when one side is done.
You may add pepper and bread crumbs too, but this style is the best to appease the indian palate.
