Simple Coconut Chutney Recipe
Grated coconut – 3/4 of a cup
Green Chillies – 1 or 2
Fried Gram (Pottu Kadalai) – a handful
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urud dal – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – very few
Oil to splutter
Salt to taste
Grind together the grated coconut, pottukadalai and green chillies along with water.
Add water as required, salt to taste.
Splutter mustard seeds and fry curry leaves and urud dal in the oil to season the chutney.
Serve instantly with idli or dosa!
You may add red chillies and garlic while you season to make it more flavorful!
